Micky started DJing in the late eighties and became well known with the advent of the Acid House movement in South London. He was given the name Micky Finn because of his build by mates and friends in the scene. In the early nineties breakbeat and loose jungle techno was filling his record boxes as he travelled the length and breadth oh the UK. Such was the demand for his skills at this time by huge events all around the country he was even strarting to catch private planes between gigs. Micky's production talents started off with Biting Back - She's Breaking Up then partnered Gavin and Claudio for Urban Shakedown - Some Justice.

Now Micky travels the world and throws down his vibe in countries like Japan, USA, Australia, Holland, Ibiza, Germany, Finland, Israel and Basildon to name just a few. "

Check out an Interview with Micky Finn about Urban Agency & a Micky Finn Special Dubplate.

Nicky Blackmarket is one of the original pioneers of drum & bass, and is still the most faithful soldier for the scene. In 1992, as the Rave scene moved towards breakbeat, Nicky created a separate department downstairs of his own shop in London, the legendary Blackmarket Records, to cater for the sound that would eventually be called Drum & Bass. In the early-nineties Nicky pushed the hardcore scene with a regular show on Pulse FM and performances at the original Booyakka nights in Essex.

Booyakka guest resident Nicky invites you to again sample his philosophy at the shop in D'Arblay St, London, or at the Booyakka 09 Xmas Special

Nicky says: "Club Booyakka were probably THE best nights I DJ'ed at outside of the M25 - wicked atmosphere & crowd - I reckon the Sweet FM crew should make this a regular night again!!!"

DJ Keety is now old with a family and a 9 to 5 but still infected with the virus that is drum & bass with no plans on selling out, hey he’s been in the game for 18 years; the fella is a fiend & will not stop pushing the sound that is Drum & Bass <minus the cheese>

After being introduced to the dance music scene by a family member in 1990, DJ Sinister was given a Colin Dale tape (Kiss FM) which was duly rinsed till it fell apart. He was then thrown into the world of dance/hardcore and also pirate radio. Pirate stations including Sweet FM, Centreforce, Rush, Cyndicut & Kool FM soon got Sinister wanting a piece of the action. Hooking up with some of the older cats in school, he was educated in the "art of mix" and so the journey started.

After 6 months on a pair of newly aquired Soundlab turntables, a demo tape was sent to Sweet FM Towers and Sinister was shocked to be asked to do a regular show brushing shoulders with dj's like Danny Breakz, Hardnoyz, Peshay, Nut Nut & Danny C, along with the regular Sweet dj's. Loyal Sweet FM service was soon rewarded when the 16 year old Sinister was invited to get involved with "Club Booyakka" @ Hats Nightclub, Basildon, where he played often with big name dj's.

Fast forward 15yrs and sets on Elite, Klass, Kool and Cyndicut FM were all crammed in with decent spells on all. By this time Sinister began to find his style and grew to love the darker/deeper side of dnb. He now lists his influences in artists like Ed Rush, Optical, Dillinja, Jonny L, Grooverider, Teebee, Calyx, Gridlock, A-Sides - all of the said producers formed the stlye that DJ Sinister plays today and keeps him buzzin' for radio forever. Sinister can now be found grazing on the airwaves of London's Origin 95.1 FM each and every Saturday 6-8pm (GMT).

Influenced by his love of 70s funk, oldskool Reggae and Hip-Hop, Hardnoyz started collecting music at an early age but it wasn't until '93 that he actually acquired a pair of turntables to practice on! In fact, the whole DJ thing happened totally by accident for the art student Hardnoyz, who was listening to Hip-Hop and running around with the likes of the infamous DAZ, Rich 87 & the FMA graffiti crew. It was at art college where he was persuaded to buy a ticket for a Sunrise (M25) Rave in June '89 and Friday nights were religiously spent @ the Goldmine (Canvey). Pirate stations were being taped - Fantasy FM, Centreforce, then a college mate invited Hardnoyz to the studio (dusty garage) of this new local station setup by a DJ Navigator (aka DJ Vibes).

By this stage (1990) Hardnoyz was buying tunes but having to go round mates houses to mix 'em. That's when the DJing really started and before long he was being asked to play boat parties, private raves like Blundells Farm and slots on a Thurrock pirate called Joy FM. After leaving college for a uni degree course in London, Hardnoyz met a dorris who was friends with a Richard Nelson, brother of Matt (Slipmatt) and founder of Raindance, who asked him to do some warmup slots at Jenkins Lane. He was paid in over-sized merchandise which he sold on to his mates.

Vibes started Technocore @ the Slammer, Gravesend (91-92) where Hardnoyz played alongside some soon-to-be big names (including Stetly) and was re-united with college pal Yardey Spangler on the mic. It was at this time (1992) Hardnoyz hooked up with The Rush Puppy who got him a residency at the Berwick Manor (Rainham) alongside himself and Roger Johnson. After the authorities kept busting these nights, the promoter threw in the towel and Hardnoyz found himself playing back2back sets with Rush Puppy at places like the Wax Club (Stratford).

By early '93, Vibes and Barry J (DJ Influence) had moved Technocore to the Manor and Hardnoyz followed when it moved again to Mr B's in Southend where some wicked nights were had behind the decks with Stetly - this is when Hardnoyz was first introduced to the other 2 Rude Bwoys by the Spangler. Hardnoyz then found himself playing more cheese when covering warmup sets for Vibes at Roller Express & AWOL (Paradise Club) and sharing radio shows with Vibes on Cyndicut FM and Rush. This is when the call came from the Mad House to join the Vange villans on Sweet FM where Hardnoyz picked up his Buffalo Billy handle for the notorious Billy fuelled 12 hour+ radio sessions. Regular sets @ the awesome Club Booyakka was just the cherry on the Sweet pie! ...and the rest as they say is history (until now!)

Hardnoyz now runs his own design company and works as a digital designer in the big smoke. Seeing as he lost his hair 10 yrs ago, he now wears desert boots & Fred Perry's and DJs oldskool Reggae, Ska and Soul as DJ Smudge to Skinheads up and down the country (find out more here). Hardnoyz would like to thank the Rave, Jungle, DnB scene for giving him some wicked memories (more like acid flashbacks) and some of the best lifelong friends an old git of a DJ could have!!!
